▍Introduction of the Organization Chart


  • The Judicial Yuan has a president, a vice president, and justices; along with a secretary-general and a deputy secretary-general.

    • The Judicial Yuan has set up the following departments and offices to perform its functions and powers: Civil Department, Criminal Department, Department of Administrative Litigation and Discipline, Family and Juvenile Department, Department of Judicial Administration, Clerk Department of the Constitutional Court, Secretariat, Department of Information Technology, Office of Public Relations, Office of the Counselors, Department of Personnel, Department of Accounting, Department of Statistics,  Department of Civil Service Ethics, Public Information Department, and various committees.
  • This chart shows how the judicial administration operates.

    • The Judicial Yuan supervises the judicial administration matters of a total of 10 affiliated organizations, which include Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, Disciplinary Court, Judges Academy, the Taiwan High Court, the Taipei High Administrative Court, the Taichung High Administrative Court, the Kaohsiung High Administrative Court, Intellectual Property and Commercial Court, and the Fuchien High Court Kinmen Branch Court.
    • The Taiwan High Court supervises the judicial administration matters of the following courts: the branches of the High Court in Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Hualien. District Courts of Taipei, New Taipei, Shilin, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Nantou, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Ciaotou, Pingtung, Taitung, Hualien, Yilan, Keelung, and Penghu; as well as the Taiwan Kaohsiung Juvenile and Family Court.
    • The Fuchien High Court Kinmen Branch Court supervised its affiliated District Courts(in Kinmen and Lianjiang) on judicial administration.
  • The objective of judicial administrative supervision is to establish a sound judicial system, promote its performance, improve the working condition, and enhance the quality of trials without interfering with judicial independence. By separation of powers and complementing each other, we can promote the judicial function and set a solid foundation for the rule of law.
