Judicial Yuan's Meeting: Working Group Promoting Expert Participation System in Mental Health Act
On August 22, 2023, the Judicial Yuan convened the first meeting of the “Working Group for Promoting the Expert Participation System of the Mental Health Act” in response to the expanded scope of judicial review under the Mental Health Act and the adoption of the “Expert Participating System” for the first time. Wu San-Long, the Secretary-General of the Judicial Yuan, chaired the meeting, which included participants from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Department of Information Technology, as well as representatives from the judiciary, medical community, patient advocacy groups, and scholarly experts. The discussions focused on topics related to new regulations and moot court projects.
