The Judicial Yuan holds the First Regular Press Conference
On June 22, 2021, hosted by the spokesman along with the Directors-General of Civil Department, Criminal Department, and Department of Administrative Litigation and Discipline, the Judicial Yuan held the regular press conference for the first time, briefing on several issues regarding the preventive measure of Covid-19 and holding court sessions online, as well as suggesting CDC permit an early vaccination for court staff. The conference applied video communication and online Q&A to avoid mass gatherings. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Judicial Yuan drafted the “Special Act for the Judicial Procedures during the Period of Communicable Diseases with Severe Epidemic Conditions,” hoping that by keeping our judicial system functioning normally while following the Covid-19 restrictions, we can still practice justice and protect human rights during the pandemic.
