Judicial Yuan and the Taiwan Society of Japanese Criminal Law Studies co-hosted the seminar of “assessment on the strategy of judicial reform in Taiwan and Japan,” inviting professor emeritus Gotou Akira at Hitotsubashi University and Aoyama Gakuin University, professor Shinomiya Satoru at Kokugakuin University, professor Honjo Takeshi at Hitotsubashi University, and commissioner of supports on criminal victims committee at Japan Federation of Bar Associations, lawyer Amano Yasuyo to propose essays on Japanese lay judge system and legal practices for victim participation in criminal proceedings, sharing their experience. Secretary-General Lu Tai-Lang(front row, fourth from left) attended and welcomed the participants.
