On November 5, 2018, the Judicial Yuan invited Lord Hughes, the former Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, for his lecture on “the Human Rights Safeguard and the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.” Lord Hughes met President Hsu and the Justices before the lecture for exchanging views.
