Delegation of the Zentrum für Europäische und Internationale Strafrechtsstudien Led by Professor Arndt Sinn Visits the Judicial Yuan
On August 19, 2025, Acting President Ming-Yan Shieh of the Judicial Yuan received the delegation from the Zentrum für Europäische und Internationale Strafrechtsstudien (ZEIS) at the University of Osnabrück, led by Professor Arndt Sinn. Other members of the delegation included Prof. Dr. Lukas Lien and Chairperson Kevin Lai. Acting President Shieh was accompanied by Deputy Secretary-General Mei-Ying Wang, Director-General Ti-Jen Lee of the Criminal Department, Director-General and Spokesperson Ting-Yu Chen of the Public Information Department, Judge Yu-Ren Lyu of the Criminal Department, Judge Ding-Ya Wu of the Taiwan High Court and Judge Huei-Ling Du of the Taiwan Taipei District Court. The two sides exchanged views on the impact of AI on criminal procedures, training judicial personnel to combat cybercrime, and other related topics. The meeting was conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
