Introduction

Introduction to the Department of Government Ethics of the Judicial Yuan

We are in charge of matters related to judicial morals and integrity, prevention of corruption, maintenance of official confidentiality, execution of preventing impairment to and sabotage of public agencies, and acceptance of Public Functionaries Assets Disclosures.

Our Department supervises 34 subordinate organizations and has two divisions, whose respective duties are as follows:

1st Division:Protection of confidentiality and security of the agencies, management of personnel in the judicial system.

2nd Division: Prevention and investigation of corruption, acceptance of Public Functionaries Assets Disclosures.

To establish an honest and competent government and to upgrade the ethic standards of government employees, with the notion that protection is better than cure, we therefore pay more attention to prevention than investigation, offering service than intervention. To make good use of people’s power and to encourage their participation, we aim to combine social and governmental resources to reach the final goal of national integrity.
